Park Playhouse & Performing Arts Centre has always been a venue for entertainment.

Located on the corner of King Street East and McGill Street, in historic Downtown Cobourg, Ontario.

The 750 seat Park Movie Theatre opened its doors in 1948.  The first movie ever shown was " Red River" starring John Wayne and Montomery Cliff.  The movie theatre closed in the 1980's, as most theatres began following the multi-plex format. 

Renovated and operated as a night club up until a few years ago, the theatre was then purchased by its current owner. 

Recently, the space was renovated in order to act as a 400 seat entertainment venue ... Park Playhouse & Performing Arts Center.
